Australian deathcore band Thy Art Is Murder acted like fools over the weekend, playing as part of the Soundwave Festival.
The band reportedly beseeched fans to rush the stage and “smash” security during a February 22 set.
Various reports and tour officials confirm the band’s vocalist told the crowd, “There are thousands of you and dozens of security. Smash them. All of you get on the stage.”
Smooth move, Ex-Lax.
About 100 fans did make it on stage, and organizers cut the band’s sound. Watch video of the ensuing aftermath below.
The band were booted from the tour for a minute, but let back on after a stern verbal warning.
Glad no one did, but someone could’ve gotten seriously hurt, and it seems some of the other bands’ equipment was damaged by the rambunctious gaggle.
