Vixen Chicks Returning As Vxn

Judging by that picture, the women of Vixen held up well. For the most part. But then again, I could have airbrushed any of the “Housewives of” logos above these ladies (‘cept the Atlanta one) and you wouldn’t have been the wiser.

It’s been 25 years since Vixen put out Edge Of A Broken Heart. Now, three of the band’s earliest members have reunited to form Vxn.

Singer Janet Gardner, drummer Roxy Petrucci and bassist Share Ross have teamed up with guitarist Gina Stile — who played on Tangerine.

“It just feels right,” says Gardner. “It was simply time to do this. The fans kept asking and we respect that.”

Cougar alert. If I go to this show, the only thing I’m asking will come in the form of this yell: “Show us those nins!”

Vxn will be playing a select number of festivals and other dates in 2013, and live, will be delivering all of the hits Vixen are known for.

This is great news for anyone old enough to have had a metal magazine subscription during the ’80s and rubbed one out to these cougs.
