Well, it’s looking more and more unlikely this tour will be happening especially now that Voivod are off of it.
I know at least three dudes who were getting tickets solely for Voivod. Now, they probably won’t be going.
Canadian metal masters Voivod have confirmed they have dropped off the inaugural “Shockwave 2012” tour, which is scheduled to kick off on July 6 in Seattle, Washington.
That’s Friday. Hmm.
We’ve been hearing the tour’s been nixed altogether. They’ll probably announce that Thursday.
“Shockwave tour is no longer as advertised. Voivoid really wanted to be touring, but the situation was out of the band’s control and the tour producers could not live up to the promises,” the band says.
So far, Fear Factory, Cattle Decapitation, Havok, Misery Index, Last Chance to Reason, and The Browning have yet to back out of the festival.
Just weeks ago, Revocation pulled out, followed by Dirge Within, Forged In Flame, and Vildhjarta.
