It sounds bad but in truth, diverticulitis is a fairly common digestive problem.
You wouldn’t want to have it. People with diverticulosis often have no symptoms, but they may have bloating and cramping in the lower part of the belly.
Rarely, they may notice blood in their stool or on toilet paper. Symptoms, at their worst, including farting, chills, puking, and stomach pain.
So Denis Belanger, or Snake, will be alright, but the issue has forced the band to postpone some shows.
“Voivod has had to postpone any shows for the immediate future as Snake needs four-six weeks rest due to a procedure for diverticulitis, a common digestive disease,” the band says.
“This affects the MS Benefit in Ottawa and the SXSW shows, this should not affect the Santiago, Chile Metal Fest appearance in April. More tour news to be announced shortly.”
As you know, Voivod have a new album in stores called Target Earth.
