Danish rock metal outfit Volbeat has announced that it has decided to part ways with guitarist Thomas Bredahl.
“Being in a band is in many ways similar to a marriage with ups and downs. At times you can work it out and sometimes you need to go separate ways…,” says Volbeat, repeating a phrase many of you kids of divorce out there have no doubt heard before.
“We want to thank him for the work he has put in for Volbeat and we wish him all the best in the future,” the band explains. “Volbeat will play all shows as announced, either as a trio or with a replacement guitarist. Right now we’ll take a well-deserved break and we will be back on the road in January, ready to rock the Gigantour and Wacken.”
I wonder why they had to go their separate ways? I mean, they don’t really explain that at all, right? I wonder if dude had a drug problem, or if maybe personalities conflicted. Either way, I am sure it will come out sooner or later in this digital age we live in.
Volbeat just released “Live From Beyond Hell/Above Heaven,” a double-disc video effort released by Vertigo/Universal.
Oh well. Bands lose members all the time. I just want to know the why. That’s just the kind of dude I am.
