Warbeast will not be playing any shows next month in Canada.
That’s because officials there have told the band, in short, to get fucked.
They do not want Warbeast crossing the border into their pristine, forrest-covered nation.
Warbeast isn’t being specific, but states that, since they are “unable to get into Canada (please don’t ask why)… we are obviously not able to do the two Canadian dates with Phil [Anselmo]’s new solo band on our upcoming tour with them in August.”
“So we are still looking to add a show or two or three on those off-dates. So if any promoters, bands or whoever out there can help us with booking something… please let us know. The dates we have open are August 10th, 11th and 12th.”
Help them. If you can. I can’t. I would if I could.
“The shows would have to be somewhere between Royal Oak Michigan and Worcester, Massachusetts. So please don’t start offering any shows that are too far out of that route. Look it up on a map if you have to see if it is something that would work for us. Areas like in Ohio or upstate New York might work. I guess if we can’t book anything on those dates we will have a mini-vacation during the tour… which means we will just have to party our asses off.”
