Look — it’s a total bummer that Nergal has leukemia. But is that any reason why we shouldn’t get a Watain tour? No. In fact, I was more excited to see Watain, as they always put on a bloody — sometimes, literally — good live show.
When Behemoth called off their tour so Nergal could undergo chemo, Watain revealed they would still make the leap across the pond and tour in North America, come hell or…well, hell would be an awesome option for these guys, so come heaven or low water. That makes no sense. I apologize.
Watain have recruited Goatwhore and Black Anvil for the Lawless Darkness Tour, which warns: “There is no escape; They are coming.” Fucking rad. Of course, you have to hear Watain’s new album Lawless Darkness, which has been out since June. Get it.
