So, something weird happened to me. I was in court today, which explains the gap between posts today, and someone recognized me.
Someone recognized me from Gun Shy Assassin. Luckily, they weren’t in a band I gave a verbal goring to. He was a reader. He stared at me from across the court room, trying to figure out if it were me. Then, the judge called my name.
This has nothing to do with Watain, but basically, if you had tickets for the first date on the band’s tour with Behemoth which kicks off tomorrow night, I hope you didn’t go just for Watain.
The black metal outfit have been forced to cancel the first five shows (including one headlining performance) of their previously announced North American tour due to delays in the visa process.
Big surprise there. Anyways, so, when the judge said my name, I stepped up and took care of what needed to be taken care of. I left the courtroom, and he was standing outside.
Dude told me he read the site regularly, and remembered reading I lived in the area. Anyways, it was odd for me. I have felt people have recognized me at shows before, but they often keep their distance. This dude was all up in my grill.
Speaking about the visa issues, Watain said in a statement: “It’s not the time the law stands in our way trying to prevent us from doing our work, and just like all the previous times, it will lay broken and humiliated eventually. We are content we will be victorious. Meanwhile, we ask all our U.S. supporters to have patience and prepare themselves for the coming of Watain!”
