Duff’s Brooklyn will be packed this Saturday evening…perhaps more so than usual.
Watain frontman Erik Danielsson will be the metal bar’s special guest DJ June 8.
Obviously, fans of hipster shite should stay away. Something tells me Modest Mouse won’t be on Erik’s playlist.
Duff’s Brooklyn is located on 168 Marcy Avenue, between S 5th and Broadway.
Several weeks later, the first taste of new Watain will be released, in the form of a digital single, called “All That May Bleed.”
The song comes off the band’s new album, The Wild Hunt, which is due on August 19 in Europe and August 20 in the states through Century Media Records.
The CD was once again mixed at the Necromorbus Studio in Alvik, Sweden, by Tore Stjerna.
The band says the single “shows but one facet of a quite diverse album, but we chose this song as a first glimpse into The Wild Hunt because of its bombastic lunacy and white-eyed malevolence which could be said to constitute a main foundation for the album. The lyric is an invitation to sacrificial blood letting, ecstatic zealotry and human sacrifice. The salt of Satan in the wounds of Christ!”
I’m excited to hear the new disc. When I do, I’ll let you all know how it is.
