Watain Tour Officially Announced

The more commercially viable Watain

Yes sir.

Look at that picture of Watain, without the makeup. They look like they’re in a John Varvatos ad or some shit. That’s Century Media Watain. That’s a changed Watain.

But it’s the same Watain going on tour this fall. We have all the dates of the trek for you at the end of this post.

The trek will also boast In Solitude and Tribulation.

Watain will be touring in support of their new album, The Wild Hunt, which drops August 20.

I have listened to it now about three times, and there’s only one song I object to. Otherwise, there’s plenty on this puppy for longtime Watain fans and hipsters alike. Should you pick it up when it comes out? I’d say absolutely. I am sure I will fall in love with it more with each listen.

“Starting the first full tour for The Wild Hunt in North America seems quite appropriate, considering how many severe experiences and sleepless nights that country has bestowed upon us while riding through its strange wilderness…A thousand years and a thousand deaths have passed since we last visited the States, so prepare yourself to face something very, very old and very, very hungry.”

That means rotting flesh.

“Deformed from both victory and defeat, distorted by a constant influx of powers residing beyond the borders of this world, we now return to join forces with our ever loyal US supporters,” says the band. “With us we will have two acts that have the capacity of transforming the audience into one big open wound before we go on stage, ready then to receive the lethal yet illuminating venom of Watain.”
