When Dan Phillipps and his wife Kinga got married at The Staaten in Staten Island, New York, on September 24, 2011, they chose what some would think an unlikely song as their wedding intro: Slayer’s “Raining Blood.”
Maybe that’s because for Dan, she always seems to be on the rag. I don’t know. Anyways, so, Dan nearly dislocated Kinga’s shoulder and acts a fool in the following video, which we discovered on Blabbermouth.
“Slayer has always been a very special band to me,” Dan told the site, explaining they were one of “the reasons I got into heavy metal. I remember first hearing Hell Awaits in 1987 and being blown away. I never heard anything like it.
“When I first met Kinga, I didn’t know she was into extreme music. She’s from Poland so I randomly asked her if she heard of Behemoth or Vader. To my surprise, she heard of them and had seen them live in concert a few times. So we instantly clicked. Our second date was a Rotting Christ concert.”
And she still said “Yes” when he popped the question!
Now, a year after yanking on her arm so hard I thought they were going to have to sew it back on, video has surfaced.
I can’t believe they are still together. He seems overly excited. Its almost girly.
I was married once. We came out to Devin Townsend’s “Namaste.”
But that obviously didn’t work out.
