Android and iOS devotees have been enjoying the voice calling element of WhatsApp for some time now. But we cannot say the same for Windows Phone fans. The wait is not over yet and even if it might seem endless, you’re getting closer and closer to the release of this awesome feature. The beta version of WhatsApp for Windows Phone has received the voice call addition and currently it is undergoing tests.
A word to the wise: if you have the full variant of WhatsApp on your phone, you will not be able to check out the call feature, unless the beta variant will roll out to the general public.
But the good news for those who are involved in the WhatsApp beta program is that you should be able to give this feature a try. The bad news is that WhatsApp still doesn’t know when the big inauguration will take place for the rest of the Windows Phone gizmos. So, the wait is prolonged even further. However, WhatsApp is trying to speed things up as best as they can and this beta launch is a step forward for those operating on Windows Phone devices. Better late than never, right?
If the tests are set in motion, the official launch is expected to happen in the near future. Those involved in the testing program are doing their best to eliminate the errors and other bugs, so that when the voice call feature finally rolls out, users can just sit back and enjoy the experience.
Of course WhatsApp isn’t the only app with this call feature available for the public. LINE, Viber and Skye are also some pretty popular ones and they are at your disposal. But, WhatsApp currently has a figure of 800 million users that activate on this platform on a monthly basis. So it should step up its game and seriously consider launching the call feature to the Windows Phone devices ASAP.
