OK, so today, Winds of Plague released a trailer for their upcoming album Against The World and my first thought was, “Wait — is this supposed to make me to want to actually hear this record?,” because if I’m going to be honest, this trailer kind of reminded me of “Nightmare on Elm Street.” And that’s not a good thing.
The minute-long trailer — which can be viewed after the jump — only features, like, 13 seconds of music that resembles heavy metal. Resembles. The opening of it sounds more like that creepy songs the dead kids are always singing in the “Elm Street” flicks. You know the one — “One, two, Freddy’s coming for you.” I don’t know, dude — this trailer didn’t do a fucking thing for me, other than annoy me. Why? Because there’s only 13 seconds of actual music on it. The whole minute should have been a preview of the disc…not 13 seconds.
Plus, the video did not feature any naked keyboardists, past or present which bummed me out, because as you know, this band loves to disrobe. Against the World drops April 19 through Century Media, and was produced by Matt Hyde.
