Swedish crust pioneers Wolfbrigade have signed with Southern Lord Recordings for the release of their next three crushing full-length releases of “malevolent darkness, the first being finalized to strike in the first few months of 2012,” a press release says.
Wolfbrigade have been around since 1995, first forming as Wolfpack. In time, they’d change names, and release four full lengths as Wolfbrigade.
The band’s newest LP, and first for Southern Lord — simply and aptly entitled Damned — will hit the streets of North America early next year.
Damned boasts 12 devastating anthems in under 35 minutes. Recorded at renowned Gothenburg-based Studio Fredman by Frederik Nordstrom (At The Gates, Amon Amarth, Opeth) the record showcases the band arguably at their finest hour.
Wolfbrigade will be touring through much of 2012.
The band are planning jaunts for Europe and the U.S. at the moment.
Wolfbrigade will complete at least two more releases confirmed for Southern Lord, under the terms of the new deal.
