You know…the one with Eric Avery, Jane’s Addiction’s original guitarist. In fact, that’s a picture right there of Dillinger Escape Plan guitarist Ben Weinman — sporting what appears to be a pretty sweet molestache — working with Avery on new tunes.
Fuck yes, I’m psyched to hear this.
That is how I would respond if someone asked me, “So, Chris, are you looking for to this new thing Ben’s doing with Avery?”
The project will also boast Mastodon’s Brent Hinds and former Mars Volta drummer Thomas Pridgen.
In related news, after the jump, you will find the cover of Jane’s Addiction’s upcoming new album, The Great Escape Artist, which I never got around to posting before. Actually, I forgot. And to be frank, I actually kind of like it.
That last Jane’s album cover was atrocious. It wasn’t in keeping with the theme of the band’s previous two major label releases, which were photos of sculptures.
That’s what this appears to be as well.
Or maybe it’s just a child’s school project. Like, something that’s exists in an old shoe box. Either way, I’m liking it.
Reminds me of old school Jane’s art. Good work, dudes.
I just wonder if that’s a picture back there on the poster of Carmen Electra. That would be funny, and ironic.
