WWDC 2015 – iOS 9, Apple TV Service, Apple Music And OS X 10.11

Apple’s annual Worldwide Developer’s Conference will start on June 8 and the internet is boiling, spreading rumors about what Apple will unveil at this event, which will last 5 days. The iOS 9 is ready to come out of the closet, a revamped music streaming service will be a delight for many ears and according to some sources and the new Apple TV service will be a serious threat to Netflix. WWDC 2015 will be a big event, with big announcements!

iOS 9

The iOS 7 came with a new design and one year later, Apple brought a new feature in iOS 8 – Apple Pay. So, what plans Apple has for iOS 9? Because there were some problems regarding iOS 8’s stability and battery drains, Apple will try to fix these issues in order to bring a much more stable operating system. iOS 9 will focus on evolution and not on revolution, because most of the important features were already added to iOS 8 and they’re running perfectly.

Apple Music

This new streaming service is based on Beats Music, being a revamped version of it. As you know, Apple acquired Beats Electronics in 2014 for the sum of $3 billion and the company decided to develop a new streaming service that can compete with Deezer, Spotify, Napster etc. We don’t know if the service will be called Apple Music, but we heard some rumors that it will have a social network-like feature which will allow artists to keep their fans updated with their activity, posting news or new content to their pages. However, the users will pay a subscription fee to have access to this service.

Apple TV service

Neflix has reasons to be worried, because Apple will come with a video on-demand service which will offer 25 channels in the US, and ABC, Fox and CBS will be included. The service will cost between 30 and 40 dollars and will be launched in September.

OS X 10.11

OS X Yosemite was launched last year, and its name was chosen after Apple oscillated between a few variants. As for the new desktop operating system, its name will be either
Sequoia, Mojave, Sonoma or Ventura, but there are also other variants. However, this new OS will integrate some Apple applications like Reminders, Notes and Calendar, with iCloud. The current OS X Yosemite could upgrade to OS X 10.11 for free.

A new rewards program

Another rumor suggests that Apple will introduce a new rewards program for Apple Pay, but only a few details are known about it. It is said that the system will be tied into iAd and the consumers will get targeted ads via Bluetooth LE and iBeacons, and they will receive coupons for free or discounted products.
