Like, back in the mid to late 1990s. I was way into 25 Ta Life and Long Island hardcore in general. I was big into Silent Majority and Kill Your Idols, Vision of Disorder and Stillsuit. Sons of Abraham. My love for Long Island and New York Hardcore runs deep.
I was thinking about 25 Ta Life the other day, and was wondering what the fuck happened to them — and in particular, friend of all equine, frontman Rick Ta Life. A quick search on Google reveals they release an album called Strength Integrity and Brotherhood back in 2009. I totally missed that one.
I remember thinking 25 Ta Life were both funny and frightening at the same time. I don’t know. I basically just wanted to inform you all that the band is apparently still together. Not sure what they are doing album wise, but I’m sure they’ll release something soon.
After the jump, listen to one of my favorite 25 Ta Life songs, on this, a day in which I am missing the 25 Ta Life of the 1990s. If only would could board a space ship and travel back in time to see 25 Ta Life once more, in their actual heyday. That would be something. If only I had a genie’s lamp. That would be my first wish. For the ability to time travel. That would be sick. I could go back in time and try to nail all the world’s most famous dead chicks. Rad.
