That’s a lot of blood

First, Watain’s inspiring false reports on TMZ.com of a pig’s blood vomit fest. Now, blackened crust act Young and In The Way are getting media coverage for their Sunday night gig.

During the show, at a brewery in Asheville, North Carolina, the band sprayed pig’s blood all over the crowd and the stage, leading to the restaurant’s temporary closure.

After the show, reports claim the brewery immediately contacted the Buncombe County Health Department to come down and assess the situation.

“There is no concern for food safety,” said Sue Ellen Morrison, lead communicable disease nurse with the health department. “It was nowhere near the kitchen area.”

Still, brewery co-owner Mike Healy was none to thrilled.

“[Our employees] have kids, groceries and bills, and now they are out of work for several days,” Healy said. “I will do everything that I can to compensate them.”

Healy claims cleaning up YAITW’s mess won’t be easy.

“There was so much [blood], that we might have to rip out out the stage. It’s a very dire situation,” he said.
